Manual Lymphatic Therapy

What is Manual Lymphatic Therapy?

Lymphatic Therapy is a gentle form of massage drainage technique used to relieve painful swelling that can be from an acute cause such as an ankle sprain or a long-term and more severe condition where the lymphatic system is impaired such as cancer or diabetes.

A certified lymphatic therapist uses techniques to move lymph (fluid buildup) from your tissues to your lymph nodes, which can then be transported out of your system easing the swelling and discomfort.

Often relief is felt immediately with treatment and depending on the condition can be maintained with bi-weekly massages.

Manual Lymphatic Therapy

Benefits of Manual Lymphatic Therapy :

  • Reduce lymphedema swelling
  • Relieve stiffness and pain
  • Improve blood flow and circulation
  • Reduce the appearance of cellulite
  • Boost the immune system
